It felt good to get moving after being stationary for our longest stretch since we started this life! 6 months is too long in one spot! We had a beautiful 4 hour drive west from Osoyoos into the Lower Mainland and back to the east end of the Fraser Valley. The drive over the northern tip of the Cascade Mountains is gorgeous! Sunny skies going up the west side of the mountain range, and very little traffic, due to the latest “circuit breaker” travel restrictions that restricted travel between BC health zones. We were OK to do this, as we were “going back home” to our home health zone. We did not come upon any road blocks or checks and arrived at Camp Bridal and site #56, our home for the week.
We stayed here for our first 2 months of our Covid travel last May and June, however, this time however we did not need to quarantine for two weeks. Our friends Peter and Darlene Million were there to great us and had a nice dinner ready, as well. Then the next day we hosted The Zehr’s from Whiterock for an afternoon barbeque. It was also great to enjoy a social distanced walk up to the Lookout with friends Greg and Trisha. Peter and Larry even got in 9 beautiful holes of golf at Bridal Falls Golf Course.
Being able to socialize with some of our family and friends was much needed, the highlight of the week had to be May 3rd when we received our Moderna Covid vaccine. Our first major step to some normalcy! We were both shocked to realize what a relief it was to get that jab! It feels great to have some more protection as for the next month we are heading into BC’s Covid hotspot.
Looks great guys! The view from the lookout is beautiful.
Enjoyed our hike up the hill, the view spectacular, the company great!!
