Zion has always been on our bucket list to visit. We finally did it on our way back to Canada in the spring of 2022. We stayed at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort just along the eastern edge of the park. After getting set up in our site we wasted no time and headed into the park. Our route into the park was via the East Gate. The East Gate is about 16 km down winding switchbacks and through a tunnel before getting to the canyon floor 400 meters below. This is a stunning drive and we did it every day for the week we spent in the park.

We made the most of spring time in Zion by hiking everyday. We were even lucky enough to win a pass to Angels Landing. Even though it took about 5 times to try.
